Mass × mass Kannai was established in March 2011 to change the lifestyle of the people through “practicing new working style,” create an “area with distinctive features,” which fosters human relations, and produce “something,” which can be a hint to solving various social problems. This is a place where you can collaborate with local companies and NPOs, industrial support organizations and NPO support organizations, and relevant administrative bodies, through which you can develop or expand your business, and also produce new values and cultures.
Mass x mass Kannai is a place where people think, on and off the job, about the way of working and living, those who are trying to start new industries and projects can meet beyond the industrial and organizational boundaries, and new value will be created. Mass x mass Kannai will never fail to meet your expectations.

For Further Development, As a Future Center which Attracts Change-Conscious People
A future center is a place for a creative dialogue where people from wide-ranging fields gather and discuss to solve mid- and long-term issues. Mass x mass Kannai will collaborate with those working on the community building of the Kannai and Kangai areas, find new torchbearers of community building, and also transmit how to work on the current regional and social issues. In the Western countries, there are many places that provide “co-working space (*1)” for social business. The Hub in the United Kingdom is a representative one, but similar facilities are coming up in South Korea and other Asian countries.
Mass x mass Kannai is planning to loosely collaborate with those facilities, providing opportunities for the exchange of information and human resources in the field of sustainable business models of social entrepreneurs, and ultimately expand a network to make a better community. Believing that our activities will contribute to the economic development of this area, we will continue to provide information and promote communication.
After the earthquake, not a few people have come to recognize again the reality of their family and their own social responsibilities. We will organize events and establish a system so that those conscious people, as we call “probono (*2),” can join the programs of NPOs and social businesses, and also other community-building activities.
*1. Co-working Space is a new type of common office. Individual workers work in one comfortable place and communicate with one another, enabling them to share various ideas and knowledge and improve their performance. This movement started in the United Kingdom and other European countries in recent years.
*2. Probono comes from “pro bono publico” in Latin, meaning “for the public good.” Originally it referred to the volunteer activities of lawyers, but recently it has come to include specialists in all fields who are trying to contribute to the society, utilizing their professional knowledge and skills.
